New Bridgnorth Jazz in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.


On the first Sunday of every month, the New Bridgnorth Jazz group hosts an afternoon of live Jazz at the historic Garden Bar in Bridgnorth. Entrance is free but donations are welcome.

Expect good vibes, great tunes and a laid-back lunchtime session. Food available for purchase.

Martin Speake has been a jazz saxophonist for over 40 years and has an international reputation. The Jazz Times describes Martin as “one of the most interesting and rewarding alto saxophonists now playing on any continent.” Colin Oxley is a jazz guitarist who has been playing for over 30 years and has partnered Martin for some time. He has released a number of jazz albums alongside touring and teaching jazz.

The Garden Bar is the oldest building in Bridgnorth, dating from between 1392 and 1422. It provides the perfect setting for our Jazz events.
